May 17th

Christine spent today relaxing with all of her family! She had a really good day and is still just so happy to be home. The night went smoothly - they got up three times for bathroom and meds I think. Mom and Christine are using baby monitors for communication :) There was a bit of confusion with the morning medications  but they put a call into the doctor and got everything sorted out. Mom says she is asking for pain medication much less even!

Christine spent most of her day hanging out with "nurse Anika." She also went in to town to get her hair cut! Our regular hair dresser actually gave Christine a FREE haircut, and some hair products to take home as well. Christine was overwhelmed with how generous she was and asked me to be sure to mention it in the blog. I heard over and over again throughout the rest of the day that she felt so awesome, normal, and pretty.

Christine also had her first visit with the visiting nurse, and she said she was really nice. The respiratory therapist came as well to set up all of her O2 monitoring devices and even showed her how to get humidified air through the nose line. This will hopefully reduce the number of bloody noses she gets from her nose being dry.

Christine is going to try and do a blog post herself tomorrow, though she tires quickly so we will see how things go. Thanks for reading!
